Weaving Dreams: The Birth of Jayaka Fashion

“The future belongs to those who can code their destiny—and stitch their roots into the seams of progress.”~ CEO (Jayaka Fusion Fashion)

“Sometimes, dreams are born not in comfort, but in chaos. Far from home, I found myself—and the purpose I was meant to build.”

The story of Jayaka Fusion Fashion didn’t begin in a fancy office or fashion studio. It started in the quiet corners of my mind when I was far away from home, feeling overwhelmed, and longing for something that felt like me.

✨ How It All Started

I was in Delhi, busy balancing college, internships, and part-time work. Life was hectic, the weather was harsh, and the pollution made everything feel heavier. I missed my parents, my family, and the calm of Rajbiraj deeply.

One day, while scrolling through social media and drowning in thoughts, an idea sparked:
“Why not start something of my own? Something meaningful, something mine?”

It wasn’t a random thought. The seed was already planted back in my second year at DTU, when I chose Entrepreneurship Development as a minor degree. This wasn't just theory—I had to complete six subjects and a real-time action learning project, where I actually worked on building a fashion brand from scratch. That project gave me the confidence, tools, and mindset I needed.

Around the same time, I interned at a startup. Watching a business grow from the ground up—step by step—taught me what it really takes to build something with heart and hustle. That experience became the blueprint for Jayaka.

👗 Fashion in My Blood: Childhood Inspiration

Looking back, I believe the love for fashion was always in me.

As a child, my mother never dressed me in overly girly clothes. She used to say, "nazar lagcha!" ("people will cast an evil eye!") Typical motherly love. 😄

But as I grew up, my interest in clothes only deepened. Whenever I went shopping with my dad, people would compliment the outfits I chose—either for myself or for others. I became the go-to stylist for my girl gang. “Jaya, pick something for me,” they’d say. And I always did, with love—and great bargaining too! Haha.

Once, I even told my father I wanted to become a fashion designer, but he was hesitant at first. Later, he agreed. But destiny had a bigger surprise—I received a prestigious scholarship to pursue Computer Engineering at DTU.

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Why? Because I wasn’t just a fashion person—I was a creator. Now, I had the technical skills to build my own fashion brand, design its website, and launch it globally. DTU opened so many doors—from startup events and business competitions to endless learning opportunities.

🌿 My Herbal Heart: Wellness as Part of the Brand

Alongside fashion, wellness is a huge part of who I am. I’ve always been a DIY girl—never into harsh chemical-based products. I carefully research ingredients, check certifications, and only use what’s safe and natural. My personal favorites brands (secret for now), which I’ve tried, tested, and loved.

I want everyone—friends, strangers, anyone I can reach—to have access to clean, healthy, and herbal products. Because many of the popular products we use daily may seem fine now, but over time, they can silently harm our bodies and environment. I want Jayaka to be a platform that also promotes wellness—beauty that heals, not harms.

🛤️ From Seed to Sapling: Jayaka Today

Jayaka is not just a brand—it’s a reflection of my journey, values, and dreams. It’s about fusing everything I love:

  • My cultural roots from Nepal

  • My passion for fashion

  • My skills in technology

  • My commitment to conscious, herbal living

Jayaka is my voice. And through it, I want to empower others to feel confident, be conscious, and embrace who they are—beautifully, fearlessly, and naturally.
